Hey! Want to hear something awesome?! My blog has had over 1,000 views! Almost 1,100, actually. That means I’m not just sitting here talking to myself. At least one other person in this world cares about what I have to say.. who’d have thunk it?! So THANKS to all of you out there, whoever you are
Feel free to leave a comment and show yourselves.
Now want to see something awesome?!
The only thing I learned I don’t enjoy about coaching is how freaking COLD you get. We can’t make the room hotter than 65 or everyone working out will die, so that means I’m standing around not sweating in a freezing cold room. I’ve resorted to coaching from on top of the box jumps, to put me closer to where the heat is. I’m too scared of heights to stand on the 30″ box, so the 24″box is my new coaching platform. I make the best of what I have, what can I say?!
Today was ROUGH to say the very least. I had a full 13 hours of pounding away at the pavement at Englewood Hospital E-wood. It was just one of those days where you feel like you’re on a never ending road and crap just keeps getting thrown your way.
The wonderful act of kindness that got me through my day and kept a smile on my face? The awesome sushi meal brought to me by one of my patient’s daughters. Apparantly she owns a sushi place in town and was nice enough to notice me running around foodless. She even went as far as to prepare it withou rice for me! Still rocking the Whole30
A day like today can only be ended in one way. Wine and an intense therapy session with my foam roller. There’s nothing like taking your agression out on your muscles. It’s a win/win, really.
Yesterday I hit my gluteus hard with 65 walking lunges with 45# on my back. I followed it up with 50 weighted sit ups, butts and guts style.
I know I just talked about wine and the Whole30 in the same breath, but I don’t curr. Kidding. I do care. But I’m also human. I’ve been working really hard on my nutrition, and there’s honestly not one part of me that feels bad about this Merlot sitting in front of me. It looked lonely. I’d probably feel worse if I didn’t drink it. So there.
I want to say a quick THANK YOU, again, to all of you out there reading! Maybe some day (soon?) I’ll learn who you all are.
PS- if you ask a man at the gym to take a picture of the back of your shirt, you might get something like this….
